November 30 - December 3, 2017 Maritime Chevy proudly sponsors the Fairfield Christmas Tree Festival! Each year volunteers transform the historic Burr Homestead in Fairfield into a spectacular celebration of Christmas. Visitors can enjoy a cup hot cider as they meander through the newly renovated mansion and view the rooms designed by local interior decorators and artists. Exquisite trees, wreaths, and decorative items throughout are for sale, as well as custom made, one-of-a-kind live wreaths. The Holiday Boutique is an annual favorite, offering festive gifts and ornaments. Bring the kids to visit Santa! They can have their photo taken while they read him their list. All the proceeds go to our 2017 beneficiary, Bridgeport Rescue Mission. Bridgeport Rescue Mission fights poverty from the inside out as we embrace the urban poor and addicted with the compassion of Christ, offering hope and healing for a changed life.

Fans had the opportunity to take aim at the center ice bull's-eye or at the State Auto Sales car on the ice. Thanks to our loyal supporters, we were able to donate $1,000 to the Fairfield Police Union Scholarship Fund. On November 4, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers game was dedicated to our new partnership with the Fairfield Police K9 Team! View one of their dedication videos here. The Fairfield Police K9 Unit was established in 2010, after the approval from the Chief of Police, First Selectman and Board of Police Commissioners. The K9 Unit does not replace a Police Officer, but serves as a valuable tool in combating and deterring crime. It is often the determining factor in conducting a search or achieving a peaceful arrest.

Sunday, April 30 between 10am and 4pm Maritime Chevrolet celebrated Fairfield Earth Day at the Fairfield Theatre Company! The day was filled with live music, face painting, fun games, and arts & crafts. Admission was free to all patrons. This was a great time to come out and have some fun with the family!

Proceeds went to help the Fairfield Police Union Scholarship Fund. The Fairfield Police Union awards several Educational Scholarships each year. The Fairfield Police Union Scholarship Fund was established in 2014 and benefits the children of Fairfield Police Officers. Each year, scholarships are awarded to the children of a current Fairfield Police Officers. In addition, the Fairfield High School Scholarship Foundation awards scholarships annually to graduating Fairfield High School seniors who plan to pursue a career in law enforcement or are the children of a Police Officer.

This program is designed to help build relationships between communities and local Chevy dealers. As a part of Chevrolet's commitment to support youth sports, Maritime Chevrolet will donate Chevrolet branded equipment as well as monetary donations to the league throughout the season. The 2017 Chevy Youth Baseball program will provide assistance to about 300 organizations in the Northeastern region and Chevrolet dealers will contribute over $450,000 in monetary and equipment donations.

The Fairfield Police Union, COPS Local #550, is a Local Union Branch of the Connecticut Organization for Public Safety (COPS). COPS Local #550 is recognized by the Town of Fairfield as the exclusive bargaining agent for the unit consisting of all full-time Police Officers within the Fairfield Police Department, except officers of the grade of Captain and above, on all matters of wages, hours, and conditions of employment. Maritime Chevy proudly sponsored the 7th Annual Wakathon for Tomlinson Middle School! The Walkwathon is the biggest fundraiser of the year! Money raised during the event helps the PTA sponsor with enrichment activities such as author visits, student scholarships, field trips and teacher grants.

Realizing youth are our most important resources, Babe Ruth League is committed to providing our participants with the very best educational sports, experience possible and to providing them with tools to enrich their lives long after their days on the baseball and softball diamond. This is one of the main reasons Babe Ruth League established a College Scholarship Program in 2001 to provide financial assistance to former Cal Ripken Baseball, Babe Ruth Baseball and Babe Ruth Softball Players looking to further their education beyond high school. And since each year we are overwhelmed by the many applications received and with the incredible accomplishments of each applicant, we continue to look for avenues by which to generate funds for additional scholarship programs. One such program is the Irby Luquette Endowment Scholarship, established in 2014 by Luquette's son, Gary Luquette.
