Chevy Trax

The all-new second generation of the Chevy Trax compact crossover made its debut in 2024. For 2025, it comes with several significant enhancements and updates that include new technology features and a new engine configuration capable of utilizing E85 fuel. Plus – a new lineup of exterior paint colors.

The new exterior color collection includes: Cacti Green, Marina Blue Metallic, Sterling Gray Metallic, Crimson Metallic, Mosaic Black Metallic, Summit White, Cypress Gray, and Nitro Yellow Metallic.

Among the eight color choices, six come at no additional charge, while two – Marina Blue Metallic and Nitro Yellow Metallic – are priced at an extra $395. Marina Blue is a fresh addition to the lineup, while Nitro Yellow carries over from the previous model year.

Despite slight price increases for certain trim levels compared to the 2024 model, the 2025 Chevy Trax remains positioned at the affordable end of Chevy’s model portfolio. Starting MSRP ranges from $21,495 for the entry-level 1LS to $25,395 for the range-topping Activ, inclusive of a $1,095 destination freight charge.

Powering the 2025 Trax is a new variant of the turbocharged 1.2L I3 LIH gasoline engine under the hood, marked by the RPO code LBP to denote its flex-fuel capability. This engine delivers the same performance as before, with 137 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 162 pound-feet of torque at 2,500 rpm. All trim levels come with a front-wheel drivetrain.

Dimensional adjustments to the second-gen Trax provide both the 2024 and 2025 models with three additional inches of rear legroom and a 12-percent increase in cargo space. The 2025 Chevy Trax remains built on the GM VSS-F vehicle set.
