Chevrolet isn’t a stranger to the world of EV automotive – in fact, the General Motors EV1 was the very first all-electric vehicle produced by GM back in 1996. An innovation a little ahead of its time, the EV1 didn’t make as much ground in the industry as many had envisioned. It did, however, pave the way for the electric vehicle market we know today. Electric vehicles are smoother, faster, more efficient, and even more convenient when compared to their fuel requiring counterparts. EVs don’t require conventional gearboxes, make little to no noise, offer huge amounts of instant torque, double the energy efficiency of fuel vehicles, and can be charged in the comfort of your own garage.

The future is electric – and Chevy is getting ready to make the most of it. Here at Maritime Chevy, we’re getting ready for the first-ever Silverado EV to join alongside the Bolt EV and BOLT EUV. Built from the ground up, the Silverado EV features Ultium – the all-new battery platform from General Motors that brings with it new power, new force, new flexibility, and a new range of possibilities. Of course, Chevy has no plans to stop at the Silverado. The next to join the EV family will be the top-selling Equinox with a predicted launch of Fall 2023, and the Blazer with a predicted launch of Spring 2023.

With the future of automotive changing, so is our facility here at Maritime Chevy. We are installing an additional 5 DC Fast Chargers to make sure your new EV is fully charged before you drive away and topped off when it comes in for maintenance. We’ll even be ready for when you find yourself in need of an extra charge while on the road! Our Brand Specialists are also EV experts – ready to find you the perfect match.
