GM Energy has announced details of its first suite of Ultium Home solutions, designed to offer residential customers greater energy independence, resilience, and value. These products enable backup power for essential home needs during grid outages, aligning with GM Energy’s commitment to expanding energy management beyond electric vehicles.

Ultium Home Bundles for Every Need
GM Energy’s initial Ultium Home lineup features three customizable product bundles to cater to different energy needs and budgets:
Ultium Home V2H Bundle: Ideal for leveraging compatible GM EVs for Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) functionality.
Includes:

• GM PowerShift Charger: Supports V2H bidirectional charging and offers up to 19.2 kW AC charge speed.
• V2H Enablement Kit: Features an inverter, home hub, dark start battery, and 9.6 kW discharge power for backup energy.

Ultium Home Energy System: Offers V2H capability and stationary energy storage for extended backup power.
Includes:

• GM PowerShift Charger
• V2H Enablement Kit
• PowerBank Stationary Storage: Available in two variants (5 kW/10.6 kWh and 7 kW/17.7 kWh), it stores energy from solar or the grid.

Ultium Home Energy Storage Bundle: Provides standalone stationary storage for homes without EVs. Includes:

• PowerBank
• Inverter and home hub

Solar Integration with SunPower
Customers can integrate solar energy into their homes through GM Energy’s exclusive partnership with SunPower. This partnership allows customers to generate clean energy on their roofs to power both their homes and vehicles, potentially reducing electricity costs.

Connected Energy Management
All Ultium Home products connect to the GM Energy Cloud, a centralized platform enabling customers to manage energy transfers across connected devices seamlessly.
