Answer the following questions honestly. Did you recently make a batch of cookies that could have doubled as hockey pucks for the NHL? Does the thought of eating a pizza fresh out of a hot brick oven ignite a fire inside you? Do you often find yourself California-roll dreamin? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may have a case of the quarantine-kitchen blues.

It didn’t seem so bad at first. You may have even been a little excited to spend some more time at home preparing home-cooked meals and exploring your culinary curiosities. You may have also gone as far as baking your very first loaf of bread – congrats! But, what about now? How do you feel now that you’ve lived out your fantasy as an Iron Chef sweating it out in Kitchen Stadium? What do you do when your steak frites just can’t compete with your favorite restaurant?

The quarantine-kitchen blues is a very real thing, but we have some good news for you. You don’t need to suffer any longer! Current guidance from the Food and Drug Administration states that “there is no evidence to suggest that food produced in the United States can transmit COVID-19.” That being said, there are certain precautions that need to be taken. This includes minimizing any contact between you and the delivery driver, removing all food from the takeout bags and containers before eating, and wiping down any surfaces that the bags and containers have touched.
