By popular demand, General Motors is bringing back the Chevrolet Bolt, the affordable, efficient, and fun-to-drive EV that helped define an era of electric mobility. Starting at $29,990 for the 2027 Bolt LT (including DFC), with an even more affordable LT trim coming later at $28,995, the new Bolt continues its legacy as America’s most attainable electric vehicle.
The 2027 Bolt delivers an impressive GM-estimated 255 miles of range, making it the longest-range EV under $30,000. Equipped with a 150 kW+ peak charging speed, a native NACS charging port, and Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) capability, the Bolt is engineered for real-world practicality and cutting-edge performance. Available in a new sporty RS trim, it also offers a refined interior with dual digital displays, Super Cruise™ hands-free driving, and over 20 standard safety features.
Under the hood, the Bolt features GM’s advanced X76 electric drive unit, designed to improve efficiency and reduce energy loss. Combined with regenerative braking technology and smart energy management, this latest Bolt is both more capable and more efficient than ever before, while maintaining the practicality and spacious hatchback design drivers love.
Inside, the cabin blends modern tech with comfort, featuring an 11.3-inch infotainment screen with Google built-in, wireless charging, multiple USB-C ports, and an available panoramic sunroof. Entertainment apps like HBO Max, Prime Video, and GameSnacks ensure drivers can stream, game, or browse while charging.
With its return, the 2027 Chevrolet Bolt reinforces Chevy’s leadership in affordable EV innovation, joining the popular Equinox EV to power the next generation of accessible, American-made electric vehicles. Production will take place at GM’s Fairfax Assembly Plant in Kansas City, Kansas, with deliveries beginning in early 2026. Click here for a deeper dive into the new Bolt!
