Chevrolet gave enthusiasts a bold look at the future of performance, unveiling two dramatic Corvette concept cars, the Corvette CX and Corvette CX.R Vision Gran Turismo, during The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering in Carmel, California. While these concepts are not intended for production, they signal the next chapter in Corvette’s design language and performance philosophy, drawing on over 70 years of heritage while pushing toward an electrified, high-performance future.

“These concepts demonstrate our design teams stepping away from production constraints and unleashing their creativity,” said Phil Zak, executive design director for Chevrolet. “Each crease and line has roots in Corvette generations past, while defining the design direction moving forward.”

Designed and built at Chevrolet’s Performance Studio in Warren, Michigan, the Corvette CX is a low, wide, all-electric supercar delivering over 2,000 horsepower through four motors with all-wheel torque vectoring. Active aerodynamics, including a Vacuum Fan System for massive downforce, are paired with a fighter-jet-inspired canopy and a driver-focused cabin finished in Inferno Red ballistic textiles, carbon fiber, and aluminum. A digital windscreen display integrates real-time performance data directly into the driver’s line of sight.

Building on the CX platform, the CX.R VGT is a pure competition car — lighter, lower, and designed exclusively for the track. It pairs three electric motors with a 900-horsepower, 15,000-rpm V8 running on renewable e-fuel, for a combined output of 2,000 hp. Its aggressive aero package, raw carbon interior, and racing-focused cockpit bring Corvette’s GT racing heritage into a new era.

Chevrolet partnered with Polyphony Digital Inc. to bring both concepts into Gran Turismo 7 later this month, allowing fans to virtually experience Corvette’s bold vision for the future.

Chevrolet is redefining the meaning of American performance with the 2026 Corvette ZR1X, the most advanced Corvette ever built, now available with an exclusive Quail Silver Limited Edition package. This special edition will debut at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering in Carmel, California, on August 15, and will be offered only on the ZR1X 3LZ Convertible in extremely limited numbers.

The Quail Silver Limited Edition introduces Corvette’s first factory matte paint in 60 years — the striking Blade Silver Matte, inspired by the classic Inca Silver of the 1957–1959 C1 Corvette. This finish, paired with orange brake calipers, black exhaust tips, and Carbon Flash-painted mirrors, creates a bold, modern expression of timeless Corvette heritage. Inside, the cabin features a Sky Cool and Medium Ash Gray interior with Habanero accents, a color scheme exclusive to 2026 Corvette models. Each vehicle will also display a numbered “Limited Edition” plaque on the interior waterfall speaker, ensuring its place as a true collector’s item.

Under the hood, the 2026 Corvette ZR1X is nothing short of revolutionary. With a combined 1,250 horsepower from its LT7 twin-turbo V8 and front-axle electric motor, the ZR1X launches from 0 to 60 mph in under two seconds, firmly securing its place among the world’s hypercar elite. For those seeking even more precision, the available ZTK Performance Package adds higher spring rates, recalibrated chassis controls, the Carbon Fiber Aero Package, and Michelin Pilot Cup 2R tires.

“The ZR1X Quail Silver Limited Edition presents a highly exclusive option for Corvette customers looking for a collectible item,” said Scott Bell, VP of Global Chevrolet. “Corvettes have always celebrated craftsmanship and engineering excellence — and this edition continues that proud legacy.”

Built at GM’s Bowling Green Assembly Plant in Kentucky, the ZR1X lineup starts at $207,395 for the 1LZ Coupe and $217,395 for the 1LZ Convertible, while the Quail Silver Limited Edition will begin at $241,395. Production is set to begin in 2026, marking a new chapter in the evolution of America’s greatest performance icon.

If you’ve been considering making the switch to an electric vehicle, now is the time to act. Recent changes in federal legislation mean that all federal tax credits for Electric Vehicles (EVs), including New EV, Used EV, and Commercial/Leased EV Clean Vehicle credits,  will officially sunset on September 30, 2025.

At Maritime Chevy, our current lease customers are still eligible for a $7,500 federal tax credit, which is applied as a discount at the time of lease regardless of personal income or vehicle price. This incentive can lower your monthly payment by approximately $209 on a typical 36-month lease — a significant savings that will no longer be available after September 30.
